REMIX WEDNESDAY: ONE SKIRT/TWO WAYS: Happy Hump Day, my chic readers! My co-worker says she does not like saying “hump day” - LOL. Hmmm?

Lately, I feel like shaving my head. I have no idea what to do with my hair sometimes. I can truly now understand when someone says it’s liberating to shaves one’s head. The only scary thing is that I do not know what my head would look like once it’s shaved. It could be quite scary. What if I have a cone-shaped head? That would be something, right? he-he. Well, I guess we will never find out because I am not that brave. :)

When I checked my calendar, it seemed I only relaxed my hair about four weeks ago and it certainly does not look that way. Oh yes, I diarize everything; not because I am organized, but because I have CRS (Can’t remember s—t) LOL..

NATIONAL DENIM DAY - Happy National Denim Day, Canada! Hello, my chic friends! It’s National Denim Day here in Canada. What is National Denim Day? According to Flare, the Cure Foundation has been running National Denim Day since 1997 to help raise awareness and money for breast cancer research and technology, collecting over $1.6 million last year alone. At our office today, we make our donations to the cause and we were allowed to wear denim today. This was a win/win for me as after a long manic Monday yesterday, I had no idea what to wear to work today. Until my post - cheers!

INSPIRATION MONDAY MEETS STYLE ME FRIDAY (SLACKS AND TROUSERS) - Happy Monday, my chic readers! As soon as I put away my winter clothing, surprise, surprise, its cold again! (sighs) I did not participate in Style Me Friday because the inspiration was more of a Monday outfit for me so I decided to sport the look today. I found this photo on Pinterest. I was so inspired I created an entire Pinterest board titled “chic trousers” (check it out here). I hope you too were inspired and will be pulling out your trousers this week. FAB FRIDAY - “IN THOSE JEANS”: Happy TGIF, my chic friends! What are your weekend plans? Well, as for my weekend plans the tempature has dropped and it is predicted to rain this weekend, so we’ll see.

These Zara jeans are certainly worth $50! The fit is unbelievable.

“Survey” says daily reps of squats reshape one’s rear-end so I have been doing at least 100 per day, and I must say I think its working. he-he.

It dawned on me that I have never paired this shirt (it was last worn here) with jeans so I decided to do that today. Basically, any top looks good with a pair of jeans.

VINTAGE + THRIFT = SOPHISTICATION: Happy Thursday, my chic dolls! For most of the day, I actually thought today was Wednesday!

Sometimes I get tired of seeing the same ole, same ole in the stores, and everyone buying and wearing the same stuff so whenever I get bored I go vintage or thrift shopping and I am always amazed at the great finds. That’s exactly what a clothes collector does (or is that being a hoarder? he-he). This ensemble is a perfect depiction of what one can find while vintage/thrift shopping.

I just love the details of this top and the fit is just perfect.

In an effort to elevate the ensemble, I added two clip-on earrings to the waist area. I know, I know, when do I finds the time to think of these stuff, eh? he-he.

REMIX WEDNESDAY - EXTEND YOUR WARDROBE/ONE SKIRT WORN THREE WAYS: Hello, my chic dolls! It’s already Remix Wednesday! Yellow and blue combination is one that continues to “wow” me. It’s so bright and vibrant.

As mentioned in a previous post, this pencil skirt is one of my favorite piece of clothing to wear. I love it so much; I actually bought three of them. BTW, pencil skirts are so chic, right?

I continue to wear these shoes solely for the beauty because it is so not comfortable, but beauty is pain, eh? he-he

I am not sure what’s going on with my hair, but a lot of people seem to like this do. What do you think?

INSPIRATION MONDAY - Happy Monday, my chic dolls! How was your weekend? It is certainly hot here in Toronto, but hey, I am not complaining.

Sometimes, all you need is that one pair of shoes and suddenly you have a zillion (is that a real number? he-he) outfit ideas. Well, these leopard pumps have become my saving grace. I haven’t stop wearing down since I bought them, but I promise, I will retire them for a while soon. I am like a kid with a new toy. :)

Also, this skirt was packed away in a box to be sent off to Goodwill, but while browsing the blog world searching for an inspiration photo, I found this photo on The Fashionista Next Door, and I got inspired to wear it. I had bought it in New York a long while ago, and have not worn it in at least 7 years! I am not still not sure why I haven’t worn it because I still like it. Strange, huh?

I did not create an exact replica of the inspiration because I am not allowed to wear denim to work on a Monday. I probably could have gotten away with it though, but I did not want to take the risk. I am not one for breaking rules. Who am I kidding, right? :)

Finally, I am aware this outfit has more of a fall effect, but I really wanted to wear it. What do you think about today’s inspiration? Until my next post – cheers!

FAB FRIDAY MEETS STYLE ME FRIDAY: Happy TGIF, my chic dolls! Are you enjoying Style me Friday so far? I know I am (smiles)! Style me Friday has made Fab Friday a little easier for the past few weeks. Today’s challenge is the White Tee. A white tee can be stylish too. The receptionist at work said that I am casual but yet so stylish at the same time so I guess I have achieved my goal. Once again, the leopard pumps enhanced the look.

I am not sure if you have noticed, but I am wearing the t-shirt backwards. Oversize and backwards, nice combo, eh? he-he

EGGPLANT AND OLIVE: Hello, my chic readers! Spring has finally sprung! (he-he) I was so elated that I get the chance to sport bare legs today. You guys know how much I hate to wear stockings. I truly had enough of them and spent way too much money on stocking over the winter. I was buying stockings every other day! As for the outfit, in my opinion, this color combination is oh so chic and the leopard shoes surely enhanced the look. What do you think? Until my next post - cheers!

REMIX WEDNESDAY - EXTEND YOUR WARDROBE/SAME PANTS/ THREE WAYS: Happy Hump Day, my chic friends! The fashion gods are correct; a pair of leopard shoes is a must have in one’s wardrobe. My heart melted when I picked up these shoes yesterday. I was so elated and still is. :)

Sometimes placing an item in the dryer is necessary. This blazer was a little loose fitting so I washed it and and put it in the dryer and voila, it’s now a perfect fit.

*Drum roll* I like today’s style the best! Which one do you prefer?

INSPIRATION MONDAY - Happy Monday, y’all! On Friday, I linked up with The Fashionista Next Door and today I recreated her look. I am so obsessed with her blog. Check out her lovely ensembles here.

These shoes are so old - they need to be retired now (he-he). This dress is a thrifted item and I could not believe the retail prices of its designer. Its was designed by Ports International so I had to google them because y’all know I google everything. I have never even heard of this designer.

My first leopard pair of shoes has arrived today! I am so excited. I purchased them on Amazon.com and had them shipped to my friend in the USA as Amazon does not ship to Canada. Thanks Shaneeka - look out for your deliveries to your zip code (he-he). I was not home when they arrived so I have to pick them up from the Post Office tomorrow. I hope they are worth the wait.

FLOWERS OF BLESSING - Happy Thursday, my chic dolls! I know, I know, I give you guys a new title almost with each post (he-he). Anyway, it’s all about this flowery sweater today. It’s amazing what you find when you go on a thrift hunt. I did not even know about “thrifting” until I started this and blog and now it has become one of my favorite hobbies. It’s like going on a treasure hunt (he-he). I was reviewing blogs and stumbled into this post titled: “Why my style is thrifted chic” from Inez, author of Style Chic 360 in which she talks about her reasons for thrifting, etc (check it out here). Style is She is also very good at finding great thrift pieces (check out here blog here). I was watching an episode of The Rachel Zoe Project - she mentioned that she is a collector of clothes, and I can definitely relate to that. Rachael Zoe has the most awesome vintage pieces I have ever seen. I would definitely raid her closet. I will collect great pieces of clothing no matter where they are. WHITE OUT: Hello, my chic readers! It’s my second day in heels and I am feeling good :). My foot is still a little swollen so I have to be careful and try not to overdo for the sake of fashion :).

Wearing certain colors do enhance one’s mood because I was in an overly cheerful mood today. I am not loving the fit of these Zara pants at all. I am so disappointed. For some reason, the seams are slightly off, but I wanted to wear this outfit today so I “rolled” with it.

I have not worn these shoes in a very long time and I almost forgot I had them. They are extremely comfortable.

INSPIRATION MONDAY: Happy Monday, my chic friends! How was your weekend? I had a very good weekend. I went to my cousin’s 30th birthday day party on Saturday, and I had a blast. I did not let my injured foot stop me. Speaking of which, I walked in heels a little today, y’all! I was so excited when I took my first step. It was like a baby taking a step for the first time (he-he). I was a bit worried that I may never wear heels again. Yes, I was - I am not even kidding, I was worried.

As for today’s ensemble, I was browsing a few weeks ago and stumbled into this post from Style Operator, and of course I decided to recreate her ensemble since I have the same pants from Joe Fresh. It makes perfect sense, right? By the way, I love these pants - the fit is just amazing. Until my next post, cheers!

BUBBLE OF JOY: Happy Thursday, yall! It has been a long week, and I am glad we are one day away from the weekend. Can you tell I have been struggling trying to pose in flats? Yes, I have been - it feels so awkward. I have come to the realization that’s its not the flats, it’s me. I just need to own it and rock them like a rock star (he-he).

My co-worker asked me today if I went out and bought a bunch of flats because my foot is injured (lol). I actually only bought one pair of flats since my injury. I have had a few pairs of flats, I just do not really wear them often. I mostly sport flats when I am going to the mall because I know its an all day event, and I would be doing a lot of walking and of course occasionally to work on Fridays.

Anyway, I went way overboard on E-bay with bubble necklaces! I love them so much, I bought four! Yes, I did. You have to admit though, they are really chic. Until my next post - cheers!

REMIX WEDNESDAY: Happy Hump Day, y’all. There’s so much going on around us. My heart goes out to the victims of the Boston bombing. I am still speechless and numb. My thoughts are prayers are with them.

I chose this sweater as my remix item because I am so in love with it. The color is just marvelous.. No, I am not back to wearing heels - I just wore them for the photo. I am tired of wearing flats. I added these heels to elevate the outfit. It was just plain so these heels added a little sass.
